Job Summary:
The Senior Market Research Analyst is responsible for providing actionable insights based on data-driven market research, consumer behavior analysis, and competitive intelligence. This role supports the Sales & Marketing teams in strategic decision-making, product positioning, pricing strategies, and understanding market trends within the sanitaryware industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to identify customer preferences, market trends, and competitor strategies.
Analyze industry data, market dynamics, and consumer feedback to provide recommendations for product development and marketing strategies.
Develop and manage market segmentation models to understand customer needs and buying behavior.
Track and report on key market indicators, including sales, customer satisfaction, and competitor activity.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations on market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights.
Collaborate with product development, sales, and marketing teams to align research findings with business objectives.
Manage external research agencies and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of research projects.
Monitor and evaluate market performance of products, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Support strategic decision-making related to market entry, product portfolio optimization, and pricing.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and statistical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools like SPSS, SAS, Excel, or similar.
Experience in handling both qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies.
Strong understanding of the Sanitaryware / Building Materials / Consumer Durables industry.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in an easily understandable format.
Experience in designing surveys, focus groups, and in-depth interviews for data collection.
Ability to synthesize large datasets and extract insights that are actionable for business strategies.
Strong project management skills to handle multiple research projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to market research tools such as Nielsen, Kantar, or Qualtrics.
Experience with competitive intelligence and monitoring market trends.
Knowledge of CRM and ERP systems to extract customer data for analysis.
Familiarity with Google Analytics or web analytics tools to evaluate digital performance.
